The Cycle Shed does not take engine building lightly. There is a large difference between getting inside an engine with a grinder and moving ports around and modifying an engine for better performance. There is also reliability limits for each engine. If the limit is pushed too far, as many builders do, reliability becomes an issue. Here at The Cycle Shed we know the KTM engines and where to safely get a little more power out of them.

For those that would like to increase the displacement of their KTM we recommend the official KTM SXS big bore kits. We have installed numerous SXS kits on 2 and 4-stroke KTMs. These kits maintain OEM reliability and you are getting KTM OEM quality. You can be assured that when you purchase and have a SXS big bore kit installed on your KTM that the job is done right and reliability is maintained.
